Hi everyone! Happy New Year!! 🥳
Can you believe it’s 2025? Honestly I felt like I was just getting the hang of 2024 and then BAM! It’s 2025!! I had a great New Year’s and it was both tiring and rejuvenating as I partook in all the festivities and various activities. Stepping away from social media and having limited time online and more focused time with my loved ones was exactly what I needed. I highly recommend.
In saying that, there’s something about the new year season that puts you in a reflective mood - where you take stock of your year and your life. And I don’t know about you but I feel so behind already. Call me crazy or sign up to the club but it feels like I should be so much further along in my life than I am now. I know people say things like, “run your own race” or “don’t compare yourself to others” and “everyone is different” but it’s hard when most of the things I had planned for myself at this stage of my life hasn’t quite panned out. It’s frustrating and disheartening. However, the year has just started and I’m going to use this feeling to drive me for the year ahead. I don’t want to feel like this in 2026 so I’m going to work dang hard this year to move the needle in a way that I can be proud of. If you’re feeling the same then know you’re not alone.
Something I realised as the new year is gearing up is that I won’t have as much time to write and post everyday as I had originally intended so I have decided to only post on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. I really hope to grow this blog and our community this year but barring that I want to always be producing quality content that I can be proud of. That means I have to be realistic with myself and know my limits which means less posts but same intentionality and standard. Thank you for sticking around and it’s great to be back at the keyboard writing for you 😃
Great to have you back on the keyboard.Happy New Year to you and looking forward to reading more of your brilliant reflections.
